Don’t forget the NHL owners have the “first rights of refusal” in regards to all the arenas. So the players would have to play in college arenas after the college hockey season is over. Oh well, that’s life in the big the city. Crosby and gang can dwell on that idea for a while. Or maybe they’ll realize need to act like reasonable adults and negotiate for a compromise.

Just maybe, the players will wake up and realize they are replaceable. We all are.

Nov, 2012: dec games cancelled
Jan, 2013: rest of season cancelled
June, 2013: still no deal
July, 2013: nhlpa decertify and players sue league
Sept, 2013: case thrown out of court due to stupidity
Sept, 2013: walk-on players make up NHL teams.
Dec, 2013: star players try to start another league
Mar, 2014: new league flops and star players start moving back to NHL

i’ll try to play mr.positive here. Maybe they went back under to finish it. it seems going dark is the only way to resolve the lockout. it seems odd but Steve Fehr and Daily are the rational ones in all of this.

for the one outstanding issue, who’s going to pay for the lockout, maybe both sides should do it and give at least 5 million to hurricane sandy victims. it would be a great way to restart rebuilding process whatever is left after this is over.
