It just makes a lot of sense to go back there. You have one team for sure that should be moving...the Coyotes. Sorry to the fans out there but it's been 3.5 years since the team went bankrupt and Jamison is now what the 3rd or 4th potential owner in that time frame? Go back to QC and the owners get relocation fee as well as the increase in revenue with a team there compared to Phoenix. There are a few other struggling franchises that could be moved but not sure the NHL would do it.

here's hoping you right...i hate to take away hockey from fans that like it (and there are quite a few fans in those cities i mentioned) but this is a business and the league has to realize that hockey markets are where we need teams...if NYC can have essentially 3 teams (NYR, NYI and NJD)...Toronto could easily have 2 teams (maybe even a 3rd) and Mon and Van could probably support and 2nd. But like i said, i hope you are right and you never know with Bettman as the final say.

Ha ha. I do agree that there is only one blomfeld.

I would love to see Phoenix or Columbus move there. However, it would be a very small market (maybe the smallest) and run the same risk as before. I do think they would have a larger fan base to draw from than Columbus or Phoenix, despite being a small city.

It might work out better this time since I don't see our leaders focusing on strengthening the US Dollar.

"You see, the French simply haven't the nature for war. Their Gallic laziness combines with their Latinate voluptuousness, with the result that they would rather eat and make love with their faces than fight" ...

"Trois acclamations" pour la Ville Québécoise !

Despite me being an ardent and values-driven fan of the Los Angeles Kings for 39 years and the fact that my bloodlines have been antagonists with the French for centuries, I for one say "bring it on" in terms of NHL hockey returning to Quebec City ! It was an absolute "disgrace" and an utter "travesty" to have ever allowed the Nordiques to move in the first place. Quebec is not only the birthplace of Canada, it's also the birthplace of ice hockey too. And not having a team in Quebec City makes about as much sense as not having a football team in Dallas or a baseball team in New York ... it's ignorant and it's just plain wrong ! Therefore "no kidding" Quebec City should get an NHL team again soon ! In fact, I would argue that at least 3-4 "additional" NHL teams would be able to function "profitably" in La Belle Province today. And it could be done quite easily, through the simple relocation of sickly "sunbelt" franchises such as Tampa Bay and Dallas to "hockey mad" cities such as Trois-Rivieres and Saguenay. Anyway, I wish the best for the people of Quebec City ! And if I were one prone to making predictions and such, then I'd say it's a "given" that these people will be getting an NHL team now soon enough !
