Still remember the bitterness reading that Oates was traded for Bernie Federko. Just a horrid trade by the Wings.

Who knows where Hull and Oates would have ended up with goals and assists if they could have stated together. Especially if Blues could’ve kept Stevens also. Hell of a team!

Congrats to Oates…one of 5 Red Wings (along with Stevie Y, Howe, Coffey and Dionne) and 3 Bruins (Bourque and Coffey) with 1000 assists. awesome company for a guy that was overlooked for a majority of his career.

I like GM GM, regardless of what the haters say. His decision to put replace Bruce with Dale ended in a pretty good playoff run (also thanks to Holtby and lots of painful shot blocks) and Dale’s departure put Adam Oates in the driver’s seat.

If the lockout would just go ahead and end, that’d be great. I’d love to see an Adam Oates Offense, alliteration aside.
