Before the lockout, Ben Scrivens was projected to be the Toronto Maple Leafs’ backup goaltender. Now “he’s officially in a fight for the net,” according to AHL Toronto Marlies head coach Dallas Eakins. That’s quite the stumble and more fodder for those who think that the Leafs would be doing themselves a disservice by entering the season with a goaltending tandem of Scrivens and James Reimer.
Scrivens played between the pipes on Thursday following Eakins’ statement. The Marlies won the game, but Scrivens allowed four goals on 28 shots. (Sportsnet)

WOOOOOOOT Break out the parade in Red Square
Russia was able to beat a Canadian team that only has OHL’ers, this antkowiak seems to think it’s team Russia vs Canada, when in reality it’s the entire Russian team taking on OHL only players, after only taking on Q players.Poor Poor Russian fans they now get excited over being a Canadian team that has been split into thirds.

Ya, but the whole team couldn’t get it done last 2 WJC’s. The russians are just lying in the weeds as usual. Toying with the canadians like a cat with a mouse. Two late goals to win the game. Sound familiar?
