In all fairness to Botchford … according to Odjick, Bure was in the room when he did the phone interview, and it’s been confirmed that Aquilini is having dinner with Bure in Florida this Saturday night.

The reporter looks silly, not the organization. The only source was Gino Odjick? Seriously? Is that what passes for a quality reporting job these days in the media?

Canucks too stupid, too cheap , too many owners in the last 6 years , fighting in court against each other. Remember this is the city that had the worst hockey riot in the last 30 years.Vancouver, the city with the world class views but second rate people.!

The whole thing is a bit of a joke. Bure’s in the HHOF and IIHF Hall of Fame. He’s one of the greats and likely saved the entire organization. Whether they retire the number in the future or not, the Canucks already look silly.
