I guess maybe hockey fans think two things: 1) the season’s really already over; 2) even if there is a “season”, it’ll be really short and not a “real” season (no Winter Classic, surely no All-Star Game, maybe about 50 games total). So maybe people have just given up this year to the greed-mongers.

Here in Vancouver the general mood is perhaps more one of resignation as opposed to apathy. People care greatly, however they’re resigned to the fact that they’ll just have to wait and be patient. Once things do get going though, look for Canuckle Nation here to go absolutely “berserk” with joy ! Only problem for them is this lil ol’ team just down the I-5 called the Los Angeles Kings !

Montreal has a lot more going on than just the Habs. It ain’t Newark.

Plus, these are hockey fans. When there is hockey, fans will start talking about hockey again.

You’d think that being from la belle province, Marty would know this. I guess 18 years in Jersey has made him more Snooki than savant.
