After a brief stint with hometown club Huddinge, Buffalo netminder Jhonas Enroth has joined Swedish first division club Almtuna on a lockout deal.

Enroth inked on last week with Huddinge — the third division side he played for as a youth — but announced via Twitter it was only a two-game deal.

The 24-year-old netminder is coming off a successful “freshman” campaign that saw him named to the NHL’s 2011-12 All-Rookie team. Even though he’s 24 and debuted with the Sabres in 2009-10, Enroth was still considered a rookie last season because he’d never appeared in more than 14 games in a single season.

The signing is another get for the Allsvenskan, Sweden’s second-highest professional hockey circuit. The league is now loaded with locked-out NHLers — last week, Capitals forward Marcus Johansson signed with BIK Karlskoga, joining the likes of Anze Kopitar, Jonathan Ericsson, Gabriel Landeskog, Matt Read, Carl Hagelin, Douglas Murray and Patric Hornqvist.
