Come on, man. I know you are sticking to the Thanksgiving thing, but it makes less and less sense. The fact that you have taken to slagging people who disagree with you isn’t doing much to help your cause. I want hockey, but I’m willing to let it play out; I don’t feel the need to bend and twist reality and plausibility to make myself look like Red Fisher Jr.

ps: interesting about your uncle, as of the 90,000 souls who surrendered to the Russians on January 30th 1943, only 5,000 ever made it back alive to Germany …. war is truly the ugliest expression of human behavior …

- player “recalls” are a simple plane-ride back and nothing more
- the need for “training camp” no longer applies for today’s NHL’er
- a “pre-season” would be insulting and it’s completely unnecessary
- the schedule is already set, as they’ve only pruned the front end
- “free agency” is likely to have already been agreed upon
- the only remaining issue with the new CBA is the revenue split

here in Vancouver, analysts say that “10 days” is probably all that’s required in-order for the season to be up and running … I agree with that, though it might be a little more like 2 weeks, given the need to hedge against unforeseen snags ? … nonetheless, if this plays out the way I suspect it will, then there’s still ample time for us to have our game back before the end of this month … that’s contingent however on something happening “shortly” … now of course I could be completely wrong and all these “pessimists” here will get their wish for a cancelled season, etc … that’s a very real possibility and probably the most “likely” logical outcome, given what we read here at PHT ? … but damn it man, I hate sheep, I hate logic and I hate predictability ! … so instead, let’s just sit back and see what actually goes down now, eh ?

How does all of that-and all the other things, great and small, that I didn’t mention-get done in time for the regular season to start three weeks from today?

I’ve maintained right from the start that this charade will entail a “magical” agreement being announced during the week of Nov 5 -10 with a margin for error of “plus or minus” 3 x days … and that we’ll have the season up and running by the US Thanksgiving holiday weekend. So as far as I can see it, at this point I still don’t see any reason to think otherwise.

Now you however with that glorious name of yours, are a bit of a conundrum ? You know perfectly well that we LA Kings are famous for being the toughest and most determined of all ! Surely you remember this past June after we lost game 5 there in NJ, how the tide was dangerously turning against us and everyone was laughing, saying that we Kings were about collapse and that we’re idiots, etc ? Well lo and behold, just look what happened eh ? Instead of giving up like most other teams and their fans would do, we Kings instead bored down with even greater zeal and determination and ended up really “giving it” to Kovalchuk and his Devils. Yesiree ! … we didn’t just beat them, we completely “destroyed” them ! So smarten up friend and never lose sight of the fact that the reason we’re the “best” is because we’re also the toughest and the most determined !

Leave Blomfeld alone, he didn’t realize Adolf was running the NHLPA, “a path of destruction.” As an experienced negotiator for over fifteen years, there will be NO CBA with the Fehr brothers, it’s a sign of weakness to show any signs of compromise. Of the eighteen players that showed up for the press conference back on Oct 18th, they were protecting their $$$$ mega-contracts. Each one of them, is a multi-millionaire. Greed and selfishness. Nothing else to say.
