Maybe he was pissed they traded his friend Gardiner, Maybe he doesn’t like the beach. Who knows, he didn’t owe Anaheim anything. They didn’t give him one cent of compensation, any prospect or development camps he went to he paid his own way(due to NCAA rules).

I understand that he had the right… my question is, why… why would he choose to freely leave a club that drafted him and choose to make several enemies in a business that he hasn’t started in yet.

If he made the choice to leave there simply because they are a rival of his favorite team or has an eskimo brother that plays for the Ducks, (whatever) … rubs the wrong way is all. I am curious to know if you or anyone has a clue to why he didn’t want to play in Cali.

His deal was that he as an individual had the power to choose his own destiny and he took it. Just like almost every other person would do given that situation.

I secretly don’t want Schultz to ever ammount to anything in the NHL over the way he treated the Ducks (a team I do NOT like and no hard feelings for EDM, they did what everyteam wanted). Dude straight up screwed Anaheim over for reasons I haven’t heard why yet. Anyone know what his deal was with them ???

Anywho, go Granlund, Coyle has been looking good with him as well. Go Wild!!!
