Ryan Suter, you better play like a $98 million defenseman for each of the 13 years that YOU signed up for.

If you thought the owner trying to get money back from your contract was "frustrating", wait until you hear from the FANS when they want their money back from your crappy performance!

Next time, keep your mouth shut and be grateful!

Firstly all that Fehr is doing is acting on the PA's (i.e. THE PLAYERS) behalf. Same as Bettman and does on the Owners/Leagues behalf. Next, wth are you talking about "he hasn't negotiated anything...", Lets see the owner come out with a RIDICULOUS 1st offer, so Fehr offers back a just as RIDICULOUS offer. Then NHL offers another offer which isn't quite so ridiculous, so Fehr does the same. NHL comes out with their latest offer and Fehr doesn't counter with 1, or even 2.. but 3 offers. ALL of which gets the owners to exactly where they want, while allowing the players to get PAID what the CONTRACTS they SIGNED with the OWNERSHIP agreed to. The players took 4 days to look over the NHL's last offer... the NHL walked in, saw 3 offers and left in all of 15 MINUTES! Are you kidding me!!! 15 MINUTES! So OH YEAH boy the owners sure are negotiating (dripping with sarcasm in case you missed it).

They aren't negotiating, they are DEMANDING things. What exactly are the players getting out of the last 2 CBA's?? Well, we all know what they got from the last one, 24% Rollback on current contracts, Salary Cap... to name a couple. This time what have they been offered??? Nothing but "gimme this and gimme that...", basically a rollback of current contracts (cuz that 'make whole' thing is A JOKE), less revenue, shorter contracts, entry level contract changes, Free Agency changes, arbitration rights changes... so basically its... "You give us all this and you guys still get to play hockey... ok sign here!".

If the NHL thinks they are going to get out of paying these guys the contracts THEY signed with them, then YES, your right, these guys WILL sit all season. Because, the players told Fehr.. they WILL NOT get run over again when it comes to our contracts again this time. The owners need to get real and take a descending CBA that give the players enough revenue to pay the contracts they have and let it get to the 50/50 split and BOOM this is done. Because, let’s be honest... if the players gave them a FULL 10% back in revenue... that isn't going to save ANY of these teams that are failing. They need a WHOLE lot more than 10%. The need RELOCATION and/or better management along with PROPER revenue sharing from the big boys. Because at the end of the day it’s the OWNERS/LEAGUE that decided to put teams in these areas and I'll bet you a year’s pay they didn't complain ONE BIT when they got the expansion fees paid to them when they did. So YOU put them there, then YOU should pay to keep them there!

He gets a bloated contract "with some significant protection from the lockout," claims owners are acting in bad faith and then slams the truck into reverse when he realizes he's gagging on his foot. No wonder cracks are beginning to appear in the "solidarity" of the players, when overpaid yahoos like this can't leave well enough alone. Hope Leipold doesn't stop suddenly or Suter's nose will have to be surgically removed from Leipold's ass.

Another example of an idiot player who has no idea what he is talking about. He then talked to his lawyer/agent, was told how ridiculous and wrong he is, then went out and tried to backtrack.

Either be a man and stick by our original statement, or don't make it in the first place. Every 5 year old knows that it is better to shut up and have people think you are stupid, than to open your mount and prove it.

I like how Suter says that Fehr is doing a good job for the players. If he was they would be playing right now and not looking at a wiped out season. Fehr has not negotiated squat yet. All he has done is put some of his ideas in front of the NHL owners and tried to re invent the wheel. He should have started with the first offer the owners gave him and worked on tweaking that to help the players. Suter I wish you guys were playing also. I miss watching hockey but the way Fehr is going about it I hope you guys sit all season.
