Just because everyone is wearing the colors doesnt mean theyre not bandwagons moron. Give em a couple drinks and theyre the biggest fans ever.
The minute the team does bad they peace out. Leave early, etc.
yes when buffalo beat us 5-1 you suck it up and stay. But almost everyone left and there were literally more sabres fans than caps fans. Is that any sort of indicator??

God I hate most of the caps fans that post on PHT. There might be some bandwagon fans around DC but the people who go to caps games are F’n top tier not even close to “rich Aholes who only know Ovi”. That really makes me think you have never been to a caps game. Everybody is in red and screaming. Plus there are always Tons of Chimera and Liach and Bondra and a million other jerseys. PS Ovi is a MONSTER if you think he is what’s wrong with the Caps or that they can’t win the Cup with him you are a moron.

First part of Boudreau’s quote conveniently left out:

Being a big caps fan (as opposd to the rich dc natives that have season tickets and only know who ovi is) it is difficult to be a caps fan.
Such a teaser. But at least we had that epic series with boston. We were playing like garbage against the rangers and still took them pretty deep.
What im trying to say is that its only a matter of time in my eyes. But backstrom as capitano…. Ha i dunno. I vote laich. Hardest workin player out there in my eyes. And i do luv me some supa swede!

Lord knows “trade Ovi for two-way players and give the C to a real captain” isn’t the worst idea a real GM’s had in the last few years. Kessel trade, anyone? How about the Rick DiPietro contract? Hell, even this season, Howson shot down the Rangers’ offered price for Nash (they were overpaying), then took a worse offer from them less than three months later. Don’t overrate the actual GMs, stakex. Enough of them are garishly terrible at their jobs (Howson, Burke, Gauthier, etc.) that being an NHL GM isn’t proof of much of anything other than being an NHL GM.

LOL You have to admit that it’s nice to play GM, and talk about something else than the lockout. By the way, I have seen some GMs make some very bad deals during their tenure, so, perhaps it does make me a GM.

Yeah! This makes sense from an emotional perspective. However, his team’s poor playoff performance justifies his firing. Next, trade OV for two way players, and appoint the C to Backstrom.
