I’m not sure if you noticed St. Louis’ season last year, where the Blues had 57 points in the year prior to Davidson joining in 2006 and they ended up competing for the President’s Trophy with 109 points. Sure, they haven’t had as much playoff success (winning just one series in that time) but he built a team that can compete.

In the end, anything is better than what the Blue Jackets have been doing, which hasn’t done anything for them despite all their top draft picks.

Yep. This is a stacked draft if ever there was one. And if he actually gets to dictate who they pick instead of that hack Howson… well, things could get exciting in the next three years or so.

With the CBJ being so awful last year, if there is no season, they could get the 1st pick, or 4 picks in the first 31…the next 12 months will dictate the next 10 years. Good luck JD.

Give the runner a chance, but I must say I don’t understand this move. He’s been in hockey for a long long time and doesn’t have much to show for with respect to building a winner. If he can surround himself with hockey men stronger than him then he will improve his chances to succeed.
