I didn’t click to read the full interview, but unless he said “I take back what I said about Bettman” all he was doing was smoothing things over with the club, in fact, it’s not a “my bad” at all – it’s a “don’t misunderstand what I said – it was about Bettman and not the Bruins, specifically” Regretting making a comment, or that it was recording, does not in any way imply that he doesn’t believe his comment — simply that he feels he maybe shouldn’t have made it.

This is like the Kostitsyn reporting. He said he hated Columbus, not Nashville. Then he said he actually liked Nashville and people are saying he backpeddled. I don’t see any apologies to the city of Columbus, at least not in the PHT article.
