That’s not even a little bit a factor. And from an Islanders fan perspective, I don’t care why Wang kept the team here: HE DID. Unlike you, we’re not out to bash him at every step. Believe it or not, he’s a pretty good guy trying to do the right thing. Does he do too much at times? Obviously. But this is a guy who’s lost $20M a year owning the Islanders and still kept the team here and has been a devoted owner. He gets some props from me.

The elephant in the room they haven’t publically spoke about all that much is the sweetheart cablevision deal that Wang could not in all likelihood not obtain from any other suitors being a strong factor in remaining.

Was mentioned in the PC that he had offers to move the team out of NY but wanted to keep them close by. I’m very happy about that. Not even an Isles fan but the team has some history even if it is very old history.

Great move by everyone involved. Isles will absolutely attract more fans with the mass transit from everywhere. Bad part is with only 14,500 or up to 14,950 resale prices will be high.
