Why do players unions do this to themselves, put their members in a lock out position? So many people are affected by this financially, least of all the owners. Certainly the fans don’t support either side since a fight between millionaires over money is not something most can relate to, we just want the game, that’s it. Guys like JR get it, he will never see the $$$ he lost and at the end of the day didn’t gain enough to make a difference. That is always the way with lock outs and strikes, everyone loses.

I know most people hate this guy, but I’ve always liked him. More players need to put their face out there like J.R. has. He’s funny, he’s opinionated, and he knows how the league works…I like that.

Many people don’t want to take the side of the players in this, but they’re honestly signing a contract to got to or stay on a team for a determined amount of money…now they’re being told they don’t get that money and the contract left the CBA as a loophole to alter that amount of money they agreed to. Well what good is a contract or an owner’s word then? How many players would have possibly changed their mind and signed with another organization had they known this?

Roebuck is no the only player who pd the price, modano was never the same and I believe hull finished his career. I don’t think he played another full season. I am sure there are others. Come on give us hockey back.
