Winnipeg forward Evander Kane, currently playing for Dinamo Minsk of the KHL, has been suspended one game for checking Avangard Omsk defenseman Nikita Pivtsaki in the head on Monday.

Kane will miss Wednesday’s game against HC Yugra.

Whether Kane will be missed by Dinamo Minsk is another thing. The 21-year-old has yet to register a point in six games while racking up 41 penalty minutes and a minus-4 rating.

He also showed up to the KHL out of shape, according to his coach.

What a shock, 41 PM and no points? Maybe he should go back to Canada and work out some more. Get in shape in case we have a season. It seems like a waste of time that he is over there.

Simply put… Evander would rather be back in Atlanta, Georgia where he was student of Evander Hollyfield and Loved Atlanta… It sure beats playing in some nowhere Minor league town, in a Minor league building, with Minor league fans !!!!

Our Atlanta Thrashers need to FLY home, and play in a Major League city, with a Major league facility ASAP !!!
