In all seriousness, I say Garrison Schmarrison ! The bottom line is that the Canucks have got to get Luongo out of here “asap” ! His AIG-sized contract and his annoying presence here are like a “ball & chain” which the team simply needs to break free of ! Now much of the local media and many fans continue trying to paint a rosy picture about this whole business … “oh there’s no rush” .. “oh it’ll all work out” .. “oh he’s happy to be here” .. etc. Well that’s just nothing but “false & empty” hope in my opinion … and it’s wrong ! It’s wrong in terms of the team’s bottom line, it’s wrong in terms of providing Schneider with a clean canvass on which to paint and it’s wrong in terms of denying Luongo what he wants most in his heart, which is a happy return to Florida. The Canucks need to do the “right” thing and let the man go now !
