There will be a season this year. Here’s why I think so; 1) both sides are closer than they say they are. Players are talking 50/50 split 2) a cancelled season would result in too much loss revenues for both sides 3) the game was broken in 04/05 lockout 4) 240 players didn’t play another game in NHL after the 04/05 lockout 5) the union has a responsibility to make sure this doesn’t happen again

But what does it matter, there will be no season this year . Donald fear still thinks he is the head of the baseball union . He is about to find out NHL owners would rather cancel a season then give in . Fehr best deal is on the table . It won’t be there jan 1. Then the season will be cancelled and the union will be broken again. They don’t get it .
