Fehr better smarten up . The owners shut this game down for a year once . They have no problem doing it again . Then where will the players be . They definitely won’t have as good a deal on the table as they do now . In fact I bet the salary cap will be back to 2005 levels. I knew this was going to happen when they hired that jackass fehr.

I have almost more respect for NbA ghetto negro league now and I uses to hate it. At least they stopped this. U Guys are going to Europe and don’t care !! Time to bring in the replacement players, and anyone who wants to play in the NHL. Start a new league NAHL National Assoicated Hockey League. Same owners same team names since the teams own those rights. Each team can sign 25-30 players they wish to sign anyone who wants to play. NHL union breakers, NHL Free Agents, players from Europe and AHL players who want to actually earn big paychecks. Use the same rules as the owners proposed on their CBA. When a player signs his contract he is committed to not strike during the term of his contract. Allow players to forum a union. Award the Stanley Cup (as it can be sold from the NHL to the NAHL for say $100.00). Lets get it rolling Bettman, owners. Screw the players who don’t want to play, screw Donald Fehr. As a season ticket holder for an NHL team I am in.

Tick, tock that’s nobody making money. If the season is cancelled. EVERYONE’S FUTURE TAKE WILL BE A HUGH FINANCIAL LOSS, THAT NO ONE WILL EVER RECOVER FROM. The owners will close shop, and players will find real life is very difficult and challenging to make a descent living. Especially, with limited education and job skills. Just something to think about before you let your emotions and pride get the best of you.

As fan, I’m actually starting to get use to having NO HOCKEY. There is the MLB playoffs, NFL, and the movies/theatre/concerts.

I’m at the point I don’t care if hockey comes back or not. It took me years to come back from the strike of 2004-2005. I have picked a side and I hope the players don’t give in. If the owners want to sign these players to the grossly amounts of money and years and then decide that they don’t want to pay them, yea I would stay away to.

At this point I don’t really care what Fehr says. Point is that this league is going to die, because the players want as much money as possible. I’m sorry but for a guy who makes about average money and puts his life on the line every day in the military doesn’t sit there and complain about what he’s making. These guys have the best job in the world in my eyes and yet they want to be paid as much as the owners do. Seriously? Look if Mario Lemeuix can make what he made and become an owner himself in Pittsburg, how can’t the players of today do the same? This sounds selfish and doesn’t seem like the words that we hear most of the players are saying. They want to come back to hockey and play. Fehr says they’ll come back to play, but only if they keep making as much money as possible. Awesome! This is a joke anymore.

I love how he blast the league for their “Take it or leave it” stance, when the players are the ones who refuse to move from their opening position. Sure the owners set a bad tone with a laughable first offer… but they have in fact moved from that position to the middle. The players? All three of their latest offers are in the same ballpark as their first offer. There is very little movement from their side.

If this keeps up, and this nimrod does go ahead and put the cap on the table… fans better get ready to lose next season too. Because the owners will not react well to that.

Oh hes no joke. He is the single biggest thing standing in the way of a deal.

He is the one person in this whole battle that has absolutely nothing to lose if the NHL loses the season, and the brand is damaged. Say what you want about the owners, but they are losing millions of dollars right now. If the NHL is hurt by the lockout, they will feel it. The same can be said about the players themselves.

Fehr though? He can walk away without so much as a scratch on him… and its very dangerous to have someone like that advising and leading the players.

The league wasn’t interested in making a deal when they made that ridiculous and imbecilic first offer and the player’s union isn’t interested in making a deal with these ridiculous multiple offers…and as long as Fehr is running the NHLPA, this will be dragged out until June.

This is all good. Negotiations are on course in preparation for the start of the schedule by U.S. Thanksgiving. Others have made this prediction, and it sure seems that we’re heading in that direction.
