PHT Morning Skate: Crosby reminded of himself when he watches 15-year-old super-prospect McDavid

Terry Wilson/OHL Images PHT’s Morning Skate takes a look around the world of hockey to see what’s happening and what we’ll be talking about around the NHL world and beyond.
Sidney Crosby is reminded of himself when he watches 15-year-old Connor McDavid. McDavid already has 10 points in eight OHL games and was “speechless” and “amazed” to hear that kind of praise from a man he calls his “childhood hero.” (Pittsburgh Tribune-Review)

For now Eddie Lack will continue to hone his skills in with AHL Chicago. The competition is tougher due to the number of locked-out NHL-caliber players in the league. That should help his development and prepare him for the possibility of serving as Cory Schneider‘s backup with the Vancouver Canucks should they trade Roberto Luongo following the lockout. Martin St. Louis might end up in Europe if the lockout continues. “I need to play,” he said. “I’m 37 years old.” (Tampa Tribune)
