How is this ''like in any other business''? Please share with us that where do you think they will find those replacement players?

Sure they can bring some guys from the streets to play, but then players will make long-term deals with KHL and suddenly NHL is nothing anymore.

The NHLPA will learn soon enough, just as every other major sports' Players Association has, that they have ZERO leverage. The owners get their TV revenues whether games are played or not. The owners can also bring up minor league players and fans are always going to be desperate enough to watch just because "it's hockey". The players need to realize they are nothing more than employees, and just like in any other business, employees can be fired and replaced.

At this point, it's just pretty much drama. WHY even bother to have a meeting if "no economic issues" will be discussed or even try to come to an understanding and work out a proposal??? Why? Nothing gets resolved and it just prolongs the lockout. Pointless and a waste of time to say the least. Heck, the mere fact that certain players already left and signed overseas proves to show that they may be, or already lost hope regarding this situation.
