But you are completely wrong on that….. Big changes hav already started and will continue. The players and owners just haven’t noticed them yet , but you will. See , the big change is that we the fans are starting to not care about either if you. The effects of these big changes will be felt for years to come beginning when and if you and the owners stop actin like children. If I were you , I would be very worried.

I don’y understand Fehr’s tactics… Do they really think they will get a deal in the long run that will be such a home run for a lost season that the players will be able to account for there lost salary?

Don’t kid yourself I think a 7% rollback this year to 50-50 is unfair, and it should be no more like a 10 year deal with two years at 3% and a year at 4% to get to 50-50, then play out the last 7 at 50-50 with league revenues growing at a nice rate, both sides come out of the deal winning, players will still make millions, owners will still make billions… EASY MONEY

I do think though in my crazy own opinion though that at least half owners would take no salary cap, if they got rid of guaranteed contracts. I really hope it won’t come to that though.

I tried to watch that KHL game on espn the other day. It sucked. Players were like zombies skating around.

at this point I’ve already accepted a lost season. sadly.

guys, try to watch as much KHL games as possible, or try to follow the AHL or ECHL instead. I know the tv deals aren’t there yet but they are very talent stacked leagues, even before the NHL lockout!

Oklahoma City Barons are basically Edmonton Oilers 1.0 they got Ryan Nugent-Hopkins #1 draft pick last year. they have Jordan Eberle, Taylor Hall, the list goes on. that’s some serious talent on the ice!!

It’s not about simply winning. If it were, their offer wouldn’t see their share of HRR reduced. They know they have to reduce their share from 57%, which is reflected in their offer. I’m sure the low of 52.2% they are currently offering could be lowered even further if the owners would accept a gradual reduction, rather than this crap about reducing it all at once. Oh, and enhanced revenue sharing to help out the weakest teams.

They simply don’t want to cave on giving the owners kickbacks. I don’t blame them one bit.

The league rank-and-file need to stand up and say “get a deal done”. Sure the rich and famous can live off their huge $$s or Euro/KHL jobs but the average player is going to be hurting soon. And for WHAT?
