He had one of his worst years as a shark last year. Look at the past 4 years not including this one. He is the best power forward.

Best power forward in the league? Lol. He’s not even the best PF in his own division. 17 goals does not make you a great PF. A useful player but far, far from the ‘best’.

Except them getting the “extra escrow money” was part of the deal.

Giving the owners a kickback wasn’t part of the deal.

How many players turned down the extra escrow money when times were good?? No thanks owners, the hand shake and original contract was good….ummm zero of them, so the a deals a deal argument doesnt really fly only one way

NHL won’t be scrambling in December, because if this goes that far, they have already lost Winter Classic and All-star weekend. Things will heat up during november because thats the month they need to cancel those events if the lockouts keeps dragging on.

My biggest gripe is that the PA hasn’t even gotten their final check before they are cut off, yet, everyone is talking like they are completely unified. I can’t wait for the scrambling in December by both sides.

Seems like Sharks players take the biggest bites in the lockout. First, Havlat, then, Boyle and now, Clowe. Who next, sure isn’t going to be Thornton. My money is on Marleau.
