Bad mouthing will not get the sides closer together period.
Whether you like Grapes or not he is right on this issue it serves no one to start insulting each other .The issue will only be resolved through goodwill. My 5 year old niece has more tact and class than what i see from the players.

Cherry is so very ignorantly inflammatory sometimes…in this case: he makes IDIOTS look like rocket scientists: this is a lockout you TARD!..this is an owners initiated work stoppage in which they deny their workers ALL SALARIES and BENEFITS: this is the ULTIMATE disrespect and slap in the face to ANY workforce…and Cherry thinks the players should be cordial?..polite?…when the owners are demanding so much in concessions: get a clue grapes…or take a class called LABOR 101 ; )

NHL lockout? Who cares!?? Maybe i will come back and watch the NHL or maybe I won’t. Im not going to lose one second of sleep over this because, as usual, concern for the fan or the sport is not a consideration by either the owners or players.

Gotta go with Grapes on this one. I would say most fans don’t ‘side’ with the players as much as viewing them as the least of two evils. This, the Barch rant and others isn’t helping. Fehr likes to trot out players to the negotiations, save the effort for the bargaining table, or just let The Don speak for you.

I don’t think the anger matters much either way. They know the players are mad. Though from the standpoint of future prospects in regards to being traded and whatnot….might actually be smarter to keep some good will out there.
