It is a big business in which the athletes are paid with &quot;scholarships&quot; but where the biggest stars in the biggest sports are rarely scholars. The rule book is hundreds of pages of responses to the countless ways local &quot;boosters&quot; try to supplement the stars&#039; &quot;scholarships&quot; to keep them on the local team. Big schools have to hire lawyers to try to understand what the countless rules say and how to get around them. A total farce.]]></description>
