I don’t think they intend to make Jokinen the #1 C. 2nd or 3rd for sure,.and it remains to be see if Scheifele makes the jump this year too. Little was C between Ladd and Wheeler on the 1st line at times last year. At this point, I’d almost say the C order isn’t clear cut. Just have to wait and see.

Hopefully. Olli Jokinen as a #1 centre really doesn’t sound like a good idea at this point in his career. Burmistrov’s got the potential to be their top guy for years if he can find some consistency and confidence.

He had shades of Datsyuk many times last season but I think he lacked confidence. Hopefully Atlanta didn’t rush him into the NHL and ruin him. The AHL should help him develop a bit more.
