I totally agree that was Fletcher’s one and as far as I can think of his only blunder.

Other than that, Fletcher had made every right move.

why even bring it up?

You can’t win on every trade. As a Wild fan, I thought we all said to leave this in the past and burry it as a Fletcher learning experience… which clearly he has recovered from. Lucky for Wild fans, Leddy hasn’t panned out to gold like he showed there for a while in Chicago…

That all said, Leddy is still a great young Dman in the making, but nothing like a Doughty type player.

I played against Leddy in highschool while attending EP (I am 4 years older) and he skated circles around me

Yeah. That trade has proved to be a total failure, but nobody thought Barker’s career would be this big a mess at the age of 26. He was flat out brutal with the Wild; I seem to remember a handful of healthy scratches tossed in there. As a Wild fan, however, I believe Fletcher has more than made up for it.

I just wish I could see the team he’s put together out on the ice…

Barker had all the tools, just didn’t work out. That’s the draft in a nutshell, doesn’t matter if you were drafted 1st or 300th.

As a Wild fan, I was hoping that it would, it didn’t … best of Luck Barker and I hope you invested your money wisely

As a Hawks fan, I never liked him, but didn’t hold his draft slot against him. He never should have been drafted at #3, period. Ovechkin and Malkin are always brought up in Barker discussion, but more importantly, look at the players drafted after him. Hindsight is 20/20, I guess. All that said, I hope he is able to get on with the Texas Stars and somehow find his way back to the show. Seemed like a good enough guy, just in over his head.
