Ya never know Wade, the Rangers may call you back. You’ve been a class act in Hartford, and I do hope the Rangers let you stay there as long as you like, or trade you to an NHL club. I wish you luck buddy.

I certainly don’t feel ‘sorry’ for Mr. Redden, but it’s a rotten move on the part of the Rangers. He struggled and they were within their rights to send him to the AHL as someone who lives in the area and follows the Connecticut Whale very closely, I can’t stress what a class act he’s been the whole time he’s been here. It wouldn’t have been right, but it would have been pretty easy for him to approach it with a bad attitude but he didn’t. He came here as a true leader and in observing his dynamic with his teammates last season it’s clear that he was seizing the opportunity to take these 19 and 20 year olds under his wing and help any way he could. Now, because they don’t want to pay him they’re not letting him be a part of what has become his team over the last few seasons. It’s just business but it’s not right.

Sorry, but no one who is still making (or made, in this case) multiple millions of dollars is ” a victim of the system”.
