I would love to see the NHL in Seattle but not at the expense of Edmonton or any other city that wants their hockey team. Taking another city’s team would make Seattle just like those Oklahoma assholes who stole the Sonics.

I know this probably doesn’t mean much to Canadian born, & raised people but, I’m an American born, & raised fan of the St. Louis Blues & I hope for all of you Canadians that you’ll not lose another team ! I actually hope you guys get another 2 or 3 teams because I’m tired of seeing Bettman screw you guys over for the sake of putting a hockey team in a market it doesn’t belong ! I think it would be the equivalent of Bud Selig moving the Yankees, or the Cardinals to Canada ! Only if he was stupid enough to do it, he would probably be strung up by his neck & beat like a red headed step child . Besides I don’t think Bettman would be stupid enough to allow Katz to move the Oilers ! That’s just my opinion !

True, but these meetings certainly seem to be more about gaining leverage in Edmonton than actually forming a contingency plan to move the team.
