UFC president Dana White may think the NHL lockout “sucks,” but another person hockey fans are dying to hear from isn’t so upset.

“Is it wrong for me to be a little happy?” country music superstar Carrie Underwood, wife of Nashville forward Mike Fisher, asked The Tennessean. “I mean, ‘I’m sorry for you, but it’s great for me.’”

Fisher has said he’ll stay in Nashville as opposed to playing in Europe during the work stoppage.

It’s expected the couple will be able to manage financially in the meantime.

As if I needed another reason not to like her or her music

Dumb broad … probably doesn’t know the difference between a two line pass and a two lane freeway. Nonetheless, you do have to give her credit, even though her music is mediocre at best. At least she doesn’t spew “hatred and violence” the way so many other Country stars are inclined to do these days.

…or get online and spew misogynistic crap on sports blogs

By far the most useless article ever posted on this website. And yes Carrie it is wrong to be happy because your joy comes at the price of the happiness of millions of true hockey fans. She’s the perfect example of why southern hockey teams are losing money, the people just don’t care.

Not completely useless – “It’s expected the couple will be able to manage financially in the meantime” actually made me laugh out loud. Been a while since a lockout post made me less than miserable….

    knew she was no good

Of course she will be happy about it. I mean if i had a wife doing ballet or something, and spending 80% of his time each year on it, i would be very happy with work stoppage. Especially if both are millionaires already.

Sad for the fans, but lets just direct the complaints to Bettman and the owners.

I suppose I’ll the one odd ball who will say if I were waking up next to Carrie Underwood MORE I would not be disappointed?

Spending lots more time with hubby rattling around the house? Isn’t that like, the 4th leading cause of divorce? Come the new year she’ll be as sick of this lockout as we are now.
