While there’s no question that our Kings dispatched the opposition in a pretty ruthless fashion, they did nonetheless play right up to June 11th … that’s only 4 days sooner than the Canucks the previous year and it’s a fact that they suffered for that … so this lockout may be a blessing for our Kings in terms of doing it all again and repeating … I don’t think it’s so much the physical rest that’s important, as it is the time needed to distance themselves from the emotional blahs which always follow in the wake of such emotional highs …
