Everyone is one good hit from being in the booth. Much of Crosby’s problem was a soft tissue injury in his neck. as far as the team the signed him to the long term deal, are you talking about the team that just locked the doors? The players do not currently play for the NHL – a choice the owners made, not the players. Crosby at least is willing to wait, and see how things are coming.

Not seeing how this is a smart idea….. The guy is one good hit away from being a veggie in the NBC broadcast booth…. Going overseas could be one of the worst ideas that he could have. He should take the time to stay healthy, be ready to play when it comes back. I dont get how they can do this and go over seas? They have a contract with the teams in the NHL how can they risk going over seas and getting hurt…. Thats like Being a football player and then going and playing in the AFL in the spring… blow out your knee and now your done for the team who signed you to a long term deal.

I can’t imagine Pens’ fans being too thrilled about this proposition. You do want him to be in shape but you’d rather him healthy. If he goes to Europe, every league will be courting him harder than a 5 star SEC recruit.
