While Anze Kopitar is looking at possibly playing in Sweden’s second tier league during the lockout, Kings captain Dustin Brown has a few other higher profile offers to consider.

John Hoven from Mayor’s Manor spoke with Brown and finds out that while he hasn’t decided whether or not he’ll play in Europe during the work stoppage, he has options galore abroad.

“I have a couple Swiss teams and a couple KHL teams I’m looking at,” Brown says.

One thing holding Brown back from leaving right away? A family with young kids at home.

As for other Kings teammates, both Slava Voynov and Andrei Loktionov may be headed home to Russia and the KHL on separate deals.

i hope all the big time players that are for this lockout go oeverseas and break their damn legs. then they’ll get whats coming to them. while the rest of the players that want to play in the states but arent good enough to get contracts overseas can take their spots.

good ridence and dont come back

A true fan would never wish harm or injury on another player, proving your ignorance, close mindedness, and lack of education on the lockout.

*** A personal message to Dustin Brown ***

    Dear Captain Brown,

Please know that as a values-driven, passionate and long-time LA Kings fan, I implore you to stay at home and ignore these b-grade Euro offers. Money is not an issue and spending time with the family is priceless. Don’t ever lose sight of the fact that you’re captain of the reigning “Stanley Cup Champion” Los Angeles Kings ! … captain of the very “best” hockey team in the world today ! You lead a team which not only won, but did so “decimating” the very best which the NHL has to offer ! The Sisters, Hitchcock, Doan, Parise, the lot of them … you destroyed them all in detail and you did it with absolute class ! So rest on your laurels friend and relax, as the call for action will come again soon enough … Blomfeld

our LA Kings are reigning Stanley Cup Champions !!!!! :)

All those star players should stay overseas for the entire season even when the NHL resumes. How would the owners feel about that?

Voynov cannot play in the KHL because the Kings have already assigned him to Manchester. FYI
