ducksk – I’m with you friend, though with the Russians you have to remember that words like “loyalty” and “integrity” don’t even exist in their miserable language … and so in a way you can’t really blame them. It’s the players like Parise, Suter, Weber, Doan and Luongo who really make me sick however. Like adversity, they say that the “possession of wealth” reveals a person’s true character, whether that be for the better or for the worse. Well we’re now sure seeing what these player’s true characters are, eh ?

It seems like both Philly/Pittsburgh fanbases are morons who do nothing but talk about the other teams concussed players. Which as you mentioned is sad because it can be life threatening and end a players career

I honestly think if it was only crosbys decision, he would be fine with the new deal, so he can play. I think he is truly one of the only NHL players that would do that

This is something else thats worth pointing out before people freak out and blame only the owners for this mess. Don’t forget that unlike the last lockout, a lot of teams are going to lose money this time around. Most of the players though? They will go play somewhere else and still get paid. So they are doing what they love, and still getting paid for it. Kinda hard to care all that much about a lockout at that point. Perhaps thats why the NHLPA has pretty much dug in on their first offer…

Thats not to say I blame the players more then the owners (though its close), just that everyone really needs to think long and hard if the owners are nearly as much to blame as they have been given credit for. To me, its prettym uch a 50/50 split right now.
