I’m beginning to think that you are hired by ownership or something…..The players are trying to end this bull crap once and for all and almost everyone can see that and if you think that if the players give in that the owners will lower ticket prices then you are just high..Last time they got their cost certainty and a 24% rollback on salaries and guess what…they f’in raised ticket prices and every year since so go bl@w a donkey buddy cause you don’t have a clue….

Wow. This is insane. Players need to come off guaranteed money in their proposal and get realistic. It is best for them to settle ASAP. The owners know how far they will go and they will not go farther. I believe that is more than they currently say. Maybe it is 52% this year moving down to 50 in the future. Players will lose in the long run. The big losers however are the fans; looks like no games this year. fans also need to realize that the higher player cost are the higher ticket prices will be in the future

It’s very sad the sport has to take another HUGE setback after gaining so much momentum with the Kings on the west coast this year…

Hopefully the minor pro leagues like AHL & ECHL get some good talent for a while! The ECHL is going to be awesome this year with the newly acquired IHL champs Fort Wayne Komets!

THIS LOCKOUT ROCKS !

The entire “sunbelt expansion” plan of Bettman’s has proven to be a massive and hideous mistake … everyone knows that, whether they admit it or not … so today’s mess is the inevitable price which has to now be paid for the little weasel’s fantasies.

Nonetheless, an extended lockout may just end up being “exactly” what the doctor ordered ? If this goes on for a year or more, the resultant financial stress will likely eliminate at least 6-8 sunbelt teams outright, or at the minimum force relocation northward. Given that the majority of people agree the NHL needs to “cull it’s herd”, this lockout may actually end up being one of the best things that’s ever happened to the game !

GO BETTMAN !!! … GO LOCKOUT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
