PHT Extra: How long will the lockout last?

Sep 13, 2012, 8:08 PM EDT

Will there be a lockout? Okay, there will almost certainly be a lockout — but how long will it last?

Could we really have a second lost season in the span of just seven years?

Mike Halford and Jason Brough talk about that and more in the latest edition of PHT Extra:

    JUST IN TIME FOR CHRISTMAS

The lockout was probably already a given, as far back as March of this year. Now that it’s here “as advertised” by the players and owners, the faithful fans are scared and feeling left out in the cold. Well, it won’t be too long this time around, that’s for sure. In all likelihood, the season will commence in either late November or early December. The bottom line is that anything beyond that risks the Winter Classic, which in turn would provoke the owner’s wrath by writing off the entire season, etc. That simply can’t and won’t happen, as both sides know that such an outcome would do irreparable damage to all parties.

Fehr, Bettman make me want to puke. Little men with Napoleon complexes. We hockey fans are in terrible hands on both sides. Hopeless.

Look guys (NHLPA), remember No One Wins In A Lockout, especially the you, the players. Your career has a limited timeline.

Honestly at this point, I could care less. You’ll find two sides that work better together in the crummiest dive bar you could possibly inhabit. Seriously, NHL is like a convenience store hot dog, that is 8 days old and the NHLPA is like hamburg that has been in the fridge for two weeks….I’m not gonna eat that shiz and nobody should!

      That is a terrible analogy

    One game too many.

It doesn’t matter the NHL is done. Greed wins and the fans lose again.
