Not true….the players have already said they are willing to take less going forwards. What they are not willing to do is accept a roll back on existing contracts. Bettman has stated that although the league brought in 3.3 billion in revenue some teams together have lost 240 million. If that is true then why are they asking for almost a billion in take backs? This is corporate greed, nothing more…nothing less. Just watch Bettman when he speaks publicly, the Goblin Turd can’t even keep a straight face when he’s talking about it. Everybody on this site and more know that Phoenix is a bust so why do you think that the NHL bought them? They didn’t buy them to keep them in Phoenix…they bought them so that they could claim a loss during this years CBA negotiations!………Think about it!

He’s also the one who’s helped increase league revenues from 2.2bil 8 years ago to 3.3bil last season, which for you non-math people is 50%. He ain’t no dummy; he just doesn’t care what other people think of him.

If the players are unwilling to compromise here, they’re just as much to blame. Fehr seems to think they shouldn’t drop their cut at all so they’re not exactly helping matters.

If Bettman’s involved, you can count on another lockout. My opinion: this man is a moron and he’s bad for the game.

Up till Friday night at midnight , the NHL and nhlpa will be fighting over the 3.3 billion dollars in revenue. When the lockout begins on Saturday morning the very 3.3 billion dollars they are fighting over…. WILL BE GONE!!! So , you are going to be fighting over nothing as of Saturday thereby making you both losers!! Just letting you all know this. I have echl down the street , no need for you !! As of Saturday ….. No hockey means no money… Bye bye!
