Don’t forget, those attendance numbers are with prices far below what a NHL team needs to make money even if they were selling a lot of tickets. I’d be interested to see what the attendance was if they were charging NHL prices for tickets instead of minor league prices.

This may be true but what is also true is the fans in Pheonix don’t really support this team. In fact last year they had the lowest average attenance and lowest attendance percentage in the regular season. The year before they had the second lowest in both and two years ago they once again had the lowest for both numbers. Let’s not fail to mention these were all years they made the playoffs. The league talks about losing money and it happens because there are teams in markets like Pheonix with fans that don’t attend the games.

Can Pheonix be a successful market? Sure why not but the current fan base doesn’t support them.

I honestly dont know whats inside the city managers head for still trying to pull this deal or Jamison for still trying to get this deal done, when he obviously knows a lot of money is going to be lost. Dont know or understand the incentive. If I was Jamison, I would invest it in another team who actually has a fan base and good attendance.

dump it and move the team to Quebec or Hartford. Bring hockey back where its supposed to be.
