Seattle is interesting situation. They can develop a battle with Canucks plus they are a top market city w/out basketball and hockey team. If they can get a Paul Allen type owner in their I think it can work and create more hrr for league.

The new arena won't break ground until it has at least one major tenant, which means it might not be ready until 2014-2015 at the earliest. Expansion makes the most sense, but there seems to be no shortage of NHL teams drying more flies than fans; Coyotes, NY Isles, NJ Devils, Columbus. The league would do better in Seattle than all of those towns.

So, this is why Jaimeson was given all this time to find the funding to keep the Coyotes in Arizona. He probably got the last 20 Mil from there, and will obviously move the team next year. Way to go GB.

A team in Seattle makes sense. If this arena was built earlier the whole Phoenix situation could have been solved without compromising the current conference and division structure. But this arena makes an expansion very possible, with a team joining Quebec making it a 32 team league.
