Expansion makes the most sense, but there seems to be no shortage of NHL teams drying more flies than fans; Coyotes, NY Isles, NJ Devils, Columbus. The league would do better in Seattle than all of those towns.

If this arena was built earlier the whole Phoenix situation could have been solved without compromising the current conference and division structure. But this arena makes an expansion very possible, with a team joining Quebec making it a 32 team league.
