I would love to see Krejci traded for a winger. He is way too inconsistent for the money they pay him. If he isnt performing offensively he doesnt really add much else.

Lucic can effect a game on multiple fronts.

I do like Lucic’s game, but he is inconsistent and the Bruins are lacking a true #1 winger. (Seguin will be a center) Don’t be surprised to see either Krejci or Lucic traded for a wing

Corey Perry is my vote. He can hit, fight, agitate, and score 50 goals. 100 + PIMS in five straight seasons. He just gets more pub for the soft hands and obviously the coach doesn’t want his top goal scorer fighting too much.

Lucic is not “elite”. He is very good. Seguin is very good and can be great. He should be their first order of business.

I’d take Backes over Looch if I was building a team but it’s hard to argue against either player.

If they get Seguin signed, that means the best top line in the Northeast Division, and probably one of the top 5 top lines in the Eastern Conference is going to be together for a good amount of time. Sure, Bergeron, Marchand and Seguin don’t put out a ton of raw numbers, but they play the best defensive game of any top line in the league, and they still score quite a bit..

OMG what is wrong with you?! I’m kidding..and I agree..I don’t know Backes as well as I know Lucic’s game. Lucic is a monster and is still young. The only people who actually complain about a player like Lucic are the people who allowed all the expectations about being the ‘next cam neely’ seep into their brains. The guy is 24, 6’4″, 230 lbs, puts up 60 pts a year, fights with the best of them (when he needs to), and can alter the outcome of a game with his physicality. He does go through funks. I’ll agree to that but that doesn’t make all the positive aspects I just mentioned irrelevant. People, at least in Boston, need to stop thinking he is Cam Neely and just accept the player that he is which is pretty elite.

I know I’m gonna get lit up for this but I believe David Backes and Milan Lucic are the best, true power forwards in the game today. I’m open to other suggestions but I can think of no better than these two.
