Thats very respectable coming from a Pens fans considering most opposing fans despise Pronger and his style of play. It’s a shame to see this type of injury plague any player, let alone one the caliber of Pronger. That’s why I hope Crosby can stay symptom free. As much as I hate him he sure makes the Flyers-Pens rivalry that much better. Although I wish he would cut down his production against us. It’s truly a shame that we will no longer see our captain knock Crosby around again.

Not worth it. As much as we, Philadelphians, want to see you back, you have a whole life ahead of ya. I’d like him to work in the front office. Be the next GM after Homer’s tenure.

Cindy is a baby for a whole host of reason. Not playing due to concussions is not one of them. If you are having brain issues, and you are playing anyway (in this day an age with the medical knowlege we have), you are a moron. Calling someone a “baby” for not playing, makes you a bigger moron (and yes, I am a Flyers fan)

He is done. He’ll never play again. he’s just not retiring so the Flyers can hide his cap hit each year. If he retires, they have to eat it (a stupid rule, hopefully something they fix in the new CBA, if a player retires, you shouldn’t still be on the hook for his cap hit, that is just idiotic).

But Prongs has never said anything (since within a few weeks of the incident), that even hinted that he would be coming back. He is done, the skates are hung up, they just can’t announce it for cap reasons. No different than what the Flyers did with Lappy up until this year. He still got paid each year, but got put on the LTIR list so his salary wouldn’t count agaisnt the cap. Exactly the same situation, except Prongs makes much more

As a pens fan and just a huge NHL fan. This stinks. Pronger is a hall of famer. I just want this guy to be headache free and enjoy the rest of his life with his family

I definitely don’t want to see it happen, but perhaps a shortened season would be good for us. Give our d-men more time to get healthy.
