i agree, they seem to forget that Neuvy has palyed two full season pretty much in d.c one damn good post season in 2010-11, yes the caps got their butts whipped by Tampa, but he was the one that made less worse then it could have been. Im very comfortble and excited to see what these two young but tested goaltenders can and will do. If they can avoid a lock out.

GMGM and the Caps tried the Vet Goalie thing last year with Vagkoun and had limited success. I have no problems with starting the season, whenever that is, with Neuvy and Holtby in net. I actually prefer it. Time to run with the young pups and give them a chance to be Vet’s themselves.

The Devils went very offensive this past season, and Brodeur wasn’t constantly lit up. Sure, on occasions he was hung out to dry, but that was mostly due to guys dropping passes at the blueline setting off breakaways. Facts are, if you’re good at a high offensive system, the puck stays mostly in your offensive zone anyway, far away from your goalie.

Offense is the way to go.
