Christine Byers passes along an interesting bit: Chris Pronger reportedly “guaranteed” that next season won’t start on time.

He did so during an annual St. Louis Police Foundation luncheon, but there’s no word on whether he’ll give them their dinner money back* if it starts as planned.

Of course, many wonder if Pronger could play if the season even began in October – or if the Philadelphia Flyers blueliner will ever play again.

* – Isn’t that what people do when guarantees run afoul?

At this point Pronger might still think he plays for the St. Louis Blues…………

Guys always had an attitude, great player don’t get me wrong, but still what the hell why would you say that?

      Because it’s true

He’s still employed by the Flyers. So if he says the season wont start on time, then IT WONT. His boss is Ed Snyder. He’s is the man who holds the strings attached to Bettman.
