The NHL and NHLPA aren’t likely to meet today, reports Chris Botta of Sports Business Journal.

The union, it appears, needs more time to consider the owners’ latest CBA proposal. (Or possibly to make a big, papier-mache middle finger out of it.)

Botta says the two sides may meet tomorrow, though he emphasizes the word “may.”

The NHLPA reportedly wants more information from the league on how each individual club would be affected by the latest league proposal before it can make a counteroffer.

Whether the league provides the union with that information in a timely fashion (or at all), we’ll have to wait and see.
