Yes, forgive me for wanting to hear something new about stories that they like to beat like a dead horse. Phoenix still doesn’t have an owner? Shane Doan still hasn’t signed? There’s a CBA meeting and they broke because someone had to take a crap after drinking too much coffee? All very enlightening, especially the first time I read them, not the 11ty billionth time. How about these stories instead: Jameson group finally purchases the Coyotes! Shane Doan resigns with Phoenix for two years after a dramatic off season of unrestricted free agency! NHL/NHLPA finally come to an agreement, game on in October! I guess I’ll have to wait and look forward to those and skip past the filler articles that provide nothing useful. Problem is, I fully expect to read about those unbroken stories numerous times too. ie: Hey guys, as reported last week, Shane Doan signed a new contract in case you guys forgot! Cool.

Bettman doesn’t have to consult the owners – they currently seem to be in the driver’s seat…

it’s one of three things a) big market teams hijacked negotiations and told small market teams and bettman to shut up and ask fehr’s if his proposal is still on the table, b) owners came down after Bettman’s fans are a “doormat” statement or c) they actually counter with a legit offer….this is apart of the negotiations

This could be good. They have a short meeting and come to a slight agreement. Then they take it to the players and owners and see their take on it. Maybe this will be the last meeting before we find out that there WILL be a season.

WHAT ELSE IS THERE TO REPORT. Seriously, they have to do SOMETHING and there’s not really much else going on, is there? Perhaps one of the PHT staff could follow Ilya Bryzgalov around, hoping he says something funny?

If you don’t want to read the CBA update stories, then don’t bloody read it.

I’m all about reporting the “news” if there’s something new to actually report. I couldn’t care less how long they met without any details of what they actually discussed. You guys already posted an article about there being a meeting scheduled for today, and you’re basically just posting that it occurred. Maybe post something when it actually has substance please.
