There actually is an NHLFA, but I doubt highly that anybody in the sport listens to us. I’ve been a member since before the last lockout.

I know that what I’m about to propose could realistically never happen, however, it’s the way it should be if these guys want to make a “fair” deal.

How about the creation of a NHL-FA. Which of course would stand for Fan Association. That way we can have our own board that puts in the aggreement that I’m not willing to pay any more than $20 for decent seats from now on. Or a cap on concession prices. Or this list could go on and on. Wonder what kind of roll backs that would cause?

I’m glad to hear Bettman thinks we’re the greatest fans…and we are…we must be…because we are probably the only fans that just constantly put up with this kind of crap and then pay even higher ticket prices…and then Bettman makes 7 million a year to my middle class income.

Sorry if my post is a little out there because it’s more of a vent, but to get to the point I really wish the owners would realize that it’s the fans that pay for the sport…not them that makes it happen…

i believe a lockout is preordained.. I believe Fehr knows this but is positioning for the true negoiations.While not the entire picture i want to adress the slow progress. I believe both sides feel nothing will be gained by name calling knowing the season will not start on time..My reasoning comes from many variables but i will bring up one angle no one else mentioned Games in Presason and 2-9 are slow sellers… Most scabs ticket sellers break even or loose money i would think that same trend applies to the clubs also…
Heres a provable idea, remove those early games from the equation than rerun the attendence figures. I wager the numbers greatly improve..

Don’t get me wrong, I understand why they’re saying this. Each side says they are not afraid, so the other will cave in. They’re both just so stubborn. The fans are not in their interest, money is.

It is understandable to care about the money, to some extent. However both sides have enough money to support their families with no sweat.

f’ing millionaires vs billionaires. Be patient yeah. None of us fans give a shiz. we’ll just sit all pretty and wait out the lockout and come crawling back in droves once its over. Whenever the hell that will be right nhlpa? I’m seriously considering locking out my interest in the NHL if the sport goes on another lockout when one just happened just 8 years ago. and I will talk so much shiz about the sport to anyone who will listen.

Oh they care. Don’t forget… the players don’t get paid if there is a lockout, and the owners also lose money. Considering this is all about money to begin with, I’m sure they are concerned about that.

The problem is however that both sides want to act tough and act like they are going all the way with this if they don’t get their way. If one side makes it clear they don’t want a lockout, their position would be much weaker.

Of course the real question is, are they bluffing? Thats the big question.

Yeah, I don’t like how both sides don’t care about a lockout. They are both sh!ting on us fans. Our opinion doesn’t seem to matter to them at all.
