A “compressed” schedule will only do more to alienate season ticket holders. There’s rumors that the Recession may be over, but the average Fan cannot afford 4 $300 nights per week.

Agree Hockey and basketball are “similar”.

HOWEVER- size of the surface, speed and let’s allow the NBA to start hitting!!!

While I won’t argue that hockey is one of, if not the most, physically demanding sport. Don’t act like basketball isnt all that physical

in case of shortened season, the number of player on each roster could be larger putting 23 active of 25 instead of putting 20 of 23 now

Agreed highlander, after the last one everything is getting back to biz as usual and people were actually forgetting the last debacle. Plus I can’t deal with a winter with just football on 2 days out of the week.

Did I just hear a “big dig” at the NBA go by?
I tend to agree. I am amazed how wiped out these top conditioned athletes in the NHL are if they get stuck on the ice for 1:30-2:00. There are no other major sports that test physical conditioning like hockey!
