Video: Donald Fehr press conference

Aug 23, 2012, 4:21 PM EST

The NHLPA has published video of union chief Donald Fehr addressing the media today in Toronto following a brief meeting between the league and players.

According to Fehr, the NHL and NHLPA “mutually” felt their time would be better served reviewing “where we are” and working internally before meeting again Tuesday in New York to “focus on the core economic issues going forward.”

Fehr reiterated his belief that there’s still time to negotiate a new CBA before Sept. 15 when the current agreement expires, then answered a number of questions from reporters, as you can see below:

I enjoy watching this guy speak. He’s extremely calm, cool and collected which is important given how easy it would be to unleash the fury all over Bettman’s face.

Fehr is an idiot. He messed up MLB by being an idiot with drug testing, so much that it lingers in baseball. Melky Cabrera anyone? This moron will now cause another lockout in another sport. Hopefully, he is fired soon after or maybe before. The only thing this guy knows is how to start and push fear in players. Unions suck!
