As a former season ticket holder, I want to go on record as saying spending my evenings watching the Blue Jackets made it feel like they were breaking my groin, too. As for Huselius, your GM is Scott “a brain damaged chimp could do my job better” Howson. What the f**k did you expect? The guy could tell me the sky is blue and I would still get a second opinion just because the odds of Howson making a correct decision makes Powerball look like a sure thing.

Just to point out, the injury Huselius claims was "rushed" (and it's arguable) was a torn pectoral. In case you failed anatomy, that's your chest / shoulder. How this caused him to injure his groin is a very interesting question, unless the real story here is that the team trusted him to handle his non-rehab workouts appropriately and he didn't. Also, documentation that Huselius was taking part in practices as early as November Second.

Perhaps this is a lesson about taking the biggest offer you can get in free agency – when it’s coming from a mickey mouse organization and they are paying you like a core player, then the odds are that at some point they are going to be desperate for you to actually live up to that salary (second highest among BJs forwards last year).

It’s little wonder the BJs leaned on Huselius so hard coming back from an injury, they were in dire straits at that point and their season was going right into the toilet barring a huge turnaround.

If a guy doesn’t want to be treated like a key part of a team then he should probably be signing for less or signing with winning teams that boast better depth, where he can be more comfortable in relative obscurity.
