Let’s be careful with the blanket statements about fans please. Some Caps fans did start caring about the sport prior to the 2010 Olympics and the arrival of Ovechkin.

Please no lockout. I watch the Caps religiously as they have over taken the Skins as my favorite team here in the DC. Also please someone in the Caps radio network look into getting a contract with an FM station to listen to. I’m much more of a hockey fan than a football fan now after the 2010 Winter Olympics games in Vancouver. I watched all the games I possibly could whether it be on TV or online and came to the concussion that hocke is a far more rougher sport than football will ever be.
